Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Legacy Takes a Loss

Mansfield Legacy lost against Mansfield back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Broncos lost 3-0 to the Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Ayallah Sanogo paced Mansfield Legacy's offense, picking up eight kills. Sanogo got some help from Ja'Mia LaBad and her 19 assists.

Mansfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Peak, who had 18 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Peak has posted since back in September. Saydi Walker was another key player, getting 13 assists and three digs.

Mansfield Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 20-15. As for Mansfield, the victory (which was their 26th in a row) raised their record to 42-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mansfield Legacy is set to square off against their familiar foe North Crowley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mansfield will face off against rival Boswell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
