Basketball Game Preview: Rock Ridge Phoenix vs. Briar Woods Falcons

Rock Ridge is 1-9 against Briar Woods since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rock Ridge Phoenix will look to defend their home court against the Briar Woods Falcons at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Rock Ridge turned things around against Manassas Park back in December of 2024. They breezed by the Cougars to the tune of 46-18.

Meanwhile, Briar Woods strolled past Battlefield with points to spare last Saturday, taking the game 35-20.

Those seven steals gave her a new career-high. Sadie Auch was another key player, putting up 11 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Briar Woods now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Rock Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
