While Shelby's win against Bessemer City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Yellow Jackets on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for Shelby, who have now won four matches in a row.

Jeffrey Walsh and Joel Cook scored all three of Shelby's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Shelby's victory bumped their record up to 11-8-3. As for Bessemer City, they dropped their record down to 8-11-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
