Basketball Game Preview: Pine Crest Panthers vs. South Plantation Paladins

The Pine Crest Panthers will face off against the South Plantation Paladins at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. South Plantation took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pine Crest, who comes in off a win.

Pine Crest took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They claimed a resounding 86-27 victory over Sports Leadership & Management. With the Panthers ahead 56-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, South Plantation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 64-47 to Chaminade-Madonna. While the Paladins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 11-7 in the first quarter.

Pine Crest will have to keep a close watch on Gabe Collier and Aiden Davis, a pair of players who had a big impact on South Plantation's prior game. Collier posted 16 points, while Davis scored ten points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Collier now owns an excellent 43.5% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Hamilton, who earned six points.

Pine Crest now has a winning record of 2-1. As for South Plantation, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
