Football Game Preview: Freeport Bulldogs vs. North Florida Christian Eagles + Official Tickets

The Freeport Bulldogs will head out to challenge the North Florida Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeport is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Freeport was beaten by Walton 68-28. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Braves 21-16 in the first quarter.

Freeport might have lost, but man, Julius Miles was a machine: he picked up 87 receiving yards and two TDs, and also punched in one rushing score.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, North Florida Christian beat Franklin County 48-42 on Friday.

North Florida Christian's win came from a few key players Freeport will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tommy Coyne, who threw for 244 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of North Florida Christian's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. The Eagles' leading receiver Kyle Estimond was Coyne's top target yet again, picking up 158 receiving yards and one score.

The victory got North Florida Christian back to even at 4-4. As for Freeport, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-4.
