Southeast Alamance took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Northwood Chargers 73-35. The victory was nothing new for the Stallions as they're now sitting on seven straight dating back to last season.
Southeast Alamance was led to victory by Shaniya Paylor and Rreanna Johnson. Paylor posted 18 points along with five assists and three steals, while Johnson scored 13 points in addition to six boards and five steals. What's more, Johnson posted three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Clara LaChapelle was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.
Northwood's loss came despite strong showings from Alyia Roberts and Shaylah Glover. Roberts shot 42% from the field en route to 15 points, while Glover earned nine points. Glover has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Southeast Alamance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-51 win against Green Level on the 20th. Hopefully Northwood paid attention to the Stallions' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
