Soccer Game Preview: International Community vs. Master's Academy

The International Community Comets will head out on the road to square off against the Master's Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

International Community fell victim to Geneva and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Knights are ranked 88th).

Meanwhile, Master's Academy hadn't done well against Winter Springs recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Master's Academy won by a goal and slipped past Winter Springs 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Master's Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-3. As for International Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

International Community opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 loss to Master's Academy. Can International Community avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
