Basketball Game Preview: Flanagan Falcons vs. Stoneman Douglas Eagles

Flanagan is 1-6 against Stoneman Douglas since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Flanagan Falcons duke it out with the Stoneman Douglas Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Flanagan came up short against McArthur and fell 58-51. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Stoneman Douglas had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They took down the Golden Tornadoes 72-55. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.

Stoneman Douglas pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Flanagan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Flanagan might still be hurting after the 63-42 defeat they got from Stoneman Douglas in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stoneman Douglas' Ayden Mclean, who posted 29 points and five steals.
