Basketball Game Preview: Mooresville Blue Devils vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings

The Mooresville Blue Devils and the Central Cabarrus Vikings will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Mooresville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Mooresville will head into Friday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 28) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cox Mill, sneaking past 60-58.

Mooresville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyri Wilson led the charge by going 7 of 11 en route to 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Clark, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points and seven blocks.

Meanwhile, Central Cabarrus won against East Rowan on Tuesday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Central Cabarrus managed a 54-50 victory over Marvin Ridge. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings who have now won three contests in a row.

Mooresville better keep an eye on Kevonta' Martin. He was instrumental in Central Cabarrus' win, putting up 13 points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

The victory got Central Cabarrus back to even at 3-3. As for Mooresville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
