Softball Recap: Pennridge Comes Up Short

Pennridge was the 8-5 winner over Coatesville when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Pennridge lost 8-1 to Coatesville on Wednesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Destiny Novashinski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Averi Dockery was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Pennridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Coatesville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Pennridge has already played their next contest, a 12-11 loss against Central Bucks East on the 27th. As for Coatesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-4 win against Pennsbury on the 22nd.
