Volleyball Recap: Crete-Monee Comes Up Short

Crete-Monee lost against Kankakee back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Kays.

While Crete-Monee ultimately came up short, they really made Kankakee work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-21.

Lucinda Joyce paced Crete-Monee's offense, picking up six kills. Joyce got some help from Alexis Farquhar and her six assists. Cadence Argue controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Crete-Monee has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-18 record this season. As for Kankakee, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 15-11.

Crete-Monee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Thornton on the 23rd. As for Kankakee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Rich Township on the 23rd.
