It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Orange Cove had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Kern Valley Broncs 10-2. Considering Orange Cove has won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mia Castillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.
