Baseball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Air Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Kadets by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by just one run.

Anthony Misch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Lutheran and nudges their season record down to 9-8. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Air Academy, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-4-1.

While Lutheran had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
