Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Island Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Island extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 7-24. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Beaufort Eagles. The Seahawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

As for Beaufort, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 26th.

Among those leading the charge was Camille Giblin, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last three contests.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hilton Head Island is set to face off against their familiar foe Colleton County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Beaufort will take on rival May River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
