Concord Christian waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past Berean Christian 3-0. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Berean Christian, too.

While Concord Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Concord Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Manhattan Shuler, who had 16 digs and 16 assists. Those 16 digs gave Shuler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Stooksbury, who had 22 digs and two aces.

Concord Christian's record now sits at 7-4. As for Berean Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Concord Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Christian Academy of Knoxville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Berean Christian will take on rival Grace Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
