Baseball Recap: Estancia Extends Road Winning Streak to 11

Estancia entered their tilt with Anaheim on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Colonists. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Tuesday.

Lincoln Silva spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nico Viramontes was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Dodge, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Estancia's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Anaheim, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Estancia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Colonists: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
