Football Recap: Parowan Comes Up Short

Parowan extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They were outmatched by the Beaver Beavers and fell 55-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 49-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Parowan lost, don't look at Hunter Bettridge. Despite the final result, he rushed for 103 yards and one TD, and also threw for 161 yards and one touchdown.

As for Beaver, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 31 points or more this season.

Davin Orton was his usual excellent self, rushing for 38 yards and one score, while also throwing for 56 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (156.3).

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Parowan will head out to square off against Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Beaver, they will head out on the road to face off against North Sanpete at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
