Fitzgerald has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bacon County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Purple Hurricane will venture away from home to face off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Fitzgerald's defense has only allowed 12.5 points per game this season, so Bacon County's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Fitzgerald had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 36-point drubbing they dealt Berrien on Friday. The Purple Hurricane blew past the Rebels 42-6. Meanwhile, Bacon County played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 52-14 loss at the hands of Worth County. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.

Fitzgerald will have to contain Santiago Bizzell as he made an impact in Bacon County's last game. He picked up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The victory was the third in a row for Fitzgerald, bringing their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Bacon County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.

Fitzgerald took their victory against Bacon County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 25-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Purple Hurricane since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
