Volleyball Recap: Cabool Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bakersfield, Cabool was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Eminence Redwings 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Cabool was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-12.

Jayne Thompson paced Cabool's offense, picking up 22 kills. Thompson got some help from Cambree Woodard and her 38 assists. Sophia Dotson controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Cabool's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Eminence, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Cabool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Summersville on the 8th. As for Eminence, they have also already played their next matchup, a 0-0 draw against Bakersfield on the 5th.
