Softball Recap: Ralston Valley Comes Up Short

Ralston Valley was the 18-2 winner over Horizon when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Nina Renk spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits.

At the plate, Ralston Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Felix, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ralston Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Horizon, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Ralston Valley has already played their next game, a 10-6 victory against Highlands Ranch on the 30th. As for Horizon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-3 win against Mountain Vista on the 30th.
