Football Game Preview: Camas Papermakers vs. Olympia Bears + How To Watch

The Camas Papermakers will welcome the Olympia Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Camas will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Camas proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 50) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Skyview 16-13. Given the Papermakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Storm are ranked 78th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Olympia never let their opponents score on Friday. They really took it to South Kitsap for the full four quarters, racking up a 27-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won nine in a row.

Olympia's win came from a few key players Camas will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ibrahima Diallo, who rushed for 60 yards, and also caught one TD. Tucker Downing was another key player, throwing for 40 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Olympia proved: they limited South Kitsap to a paltry 0.4 yards per carry. The Bears' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.4.

Olympia now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Camas, their record is now 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Camas against Olympia in their previous meeting back in November of 2019, as the squad secured a 48-13 victory. Do the Papermakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
