Soccer Recap: Arroyo Valley Comes Up Short

Arroyo Valley fell victim to San Gorgonio and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the San Gorgonio Spartans, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 717th, while the Spartans are ranked 154th).

Arroyo Valley now has a losing record at 6-7-1. As for San Gorgonio, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Arroyo Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carter at 5:45 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for San Gorgonio, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brea Olinda at 3:10 p.m. on Friday.
