While Littlefield's win against Roosevelt wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 victory over the Eagles on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Brianna Aleman was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Abby Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Littlefield's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Roosevelt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Littlefield will square off against Slaton at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Roosevelt, they will face off against Dimmitt at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.25 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
