Volleyball Recap: Baldwin County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Baldwin County faced off against Foley on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The Tigers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Baldwin County sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 18-25, 15-9.

Sadie Wiggins paced Baldwin County's offense, picking up nine kills. Wiggins really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. Tehya Rolin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Baldwin County's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Foley, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Baldwin County will face off against Spanish Fort at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Toros will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Foley, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Davidson on the 6th.
