Bailey Payne was unstoppable on Thursday, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over seven innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her seventh in a row with two or fewer walks. For the season, she has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of 1.60 over 153 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.410/0.464/0.520 with 30 runs.

Payne's effort led Nettleton over Kossuth and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
