Basketball Recap: Choctaw County Piles Up the Points Against Johnson

Choctaw County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They claimed a resounding 49-22 win over the Johnson Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-40 back in November.

Jarrod Chaney was his usual excellent self, putting up ten points in addition to seven boards and six assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Daylen Blakley, who posted nine points.

With the victory, Choctaw County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Johnson, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Choctaw County will venture away from home to square off against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Choctaw County is facing Linden at the right time seeing as Linden is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Johnson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sweet Water at 6:30 p.m. on December 16th.
