Aquinas had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Linfield Christian Lions, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since April 5th.

Trevor Busby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jonathan Tena, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Aquinas' win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Linfield Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9-1.
