San Diego Academy was the 3-1 winner over Ocean View Christian when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

San Diego Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Ocean View Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kiley Hohenberg, who had eight kills, six aces, and five blocks. That's the most aces Hohenberg has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Estrella Macias, who had six digs and six aces.

San Diego Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Ocean View Christian, their record is now 7-10.

As of now, neither San Diego Academy nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
