Basketball Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northern York

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lampeter-Strasburg). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 84-33 win over the Northern York Polar Bears. The victory was familiar territory for the Pioneers, who have now won three contests in a row.

It was another big night for Chase Smucker, who went 19-for-28 on his way to 50 points and four steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Chase Messinger, who posted seven points along with five assists and four steals.

Lampeter-Strasburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Lampeter-Strasburg's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Northern York, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
