Softball Recap: Leto Comes Up Short

Leto extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 2-15. They lost 20-1 to the Chamberlain Storm. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 15-3 to the Storm when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Chamberlain, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

For Chamberlain's part, Braylynn Ausman Hall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Ausman Hall has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Janiyah M was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eliana Morales, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Leto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chamberlain, they are taking a road trip to challenge Alonso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
