Volleyball Preview: Southwest Trojans vs. Golden City Eagles

The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Southwest will be strutting in after a victory while Golden City will be coming in after a loss.

Southwest had lost eight straight headed into Thursday's contest, but Olivia Hnem didn't let it get to nine. The Trojans walked away with a 3-1 win over Wheaton on Thursday with plenty of help from Hnem, who had 27 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Southwest had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Golden City lost 3-0 to New Heights Christian Academy on Monday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
