Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Fayetteville's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Fayetteville unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs by a score of 2-1.

Kenleigh McArthur paced Fayetteville's offense, picking up 15 kills. McArthur got some help from Isabella Kelley and her 25 assists. Taylor Hammonds controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fayetteville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Stanhope Elmore, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayetteville will venture away from home to challenge Central of Coosa County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stanhope Elmore, they will head out to take on Prattville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
