Softball Recap: Mounds Takes a Loss

After flying high against Liberty on Monday, Mounds came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Pawnee Black Bears on Tuesday, falling 17-2. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Mounds' loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Pawnee, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-6.

Mounds didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Inola on the 11th. As for Pawnee, they have also already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Shidler on the 11th.
