Vista PEAK Prep lost to Rangeview back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Bison won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Raiders 41-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vista PEAK Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyrone Smiley, who rushed for 180 yards and three scores, and also threw for five yards and one TD. The Bison are 4-1 when Smiley posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Isaiah Watson was in the mix too, providing Vista PEAK Prep with two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Vista PEAK Prep was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 259 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.

Vista PEAK Prep now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Rangeview, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Vista PEAK Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 59-35 defeat against Legacy on the 30th. As for Rangeview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 52-30 loss against Mullen on the 31st.
