Soccer Game Preview: Northwest vs. Taylor

The Northwest Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Taylor Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Taylor will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Northwest extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Knights never let Lockland get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Give Northwest's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

They hit Lockland with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Preston Wethington, Justin Martinez, and Dylan Frey.

Meanwhile, Taylor made easy work of Finneytown last Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. Given Taylor's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Finneytown are ranked 424th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest's record is now 12-2-2. As for Taylor, their record now sits at 10-5-1.
