Football Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 40-6 defeat at the hands of the Thomas Jefferson Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-6 on September 2nd.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Thomas Jefferson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will welcome Denver East at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will head out to challenge Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so the Spartans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
