Volleyball Recap: Waukesha West Falls Short Against Ranked Kimberly

Waukesha West faced Kimberly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolverines fell 2-0 to the Papermakers. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Papermakers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ryan McMahon paced Waukesha West's offense, picking up nine kills. McMahon got some help from Cooper Maddern and his 22 assists. Carter Polowy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Waukesha West's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kimberly, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Waukesha West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Kettle Moraine on the 30th. As for Kimberly, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Cedarburg on the 30th.
