Soccer Recap: Mountain Range Has No Trouble Against Pomona

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mullen, Mountain Range was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Pomona Panthers as they made off with an 11-1 win. With that victory, Mountain Range brought their scoring average up to 3.3 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Pomona from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Addison Speidell led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Mountain Range's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Pomona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Mountain Range wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-0 win against Thornton on the 28th. As for Pomona, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 defeat against Evergreen on the 28th.
