Volleyball Recap: Griswold's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Montville on Monday, Griswold came back down to earth. The Wolverines took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats on Wednesday. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Griswold lost, don't look at Carly Rubino. Despite the final result, she had 26 digs and two aces. Rubino is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Griswold moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Norwich Free Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Griswold wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Lyman Memorial on the 22nd. As for Norwich Free Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Waterford on the 19th.
