Football Recap: Starmount Piles Up the Points Against South Stanly + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Starmount had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls 35-0. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Starmount's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jymir Billips led the charge by rushing for 126 yards and one score. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Hernandez, who rushed for 30 yards and three touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Starmount's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Sam Shore and Gavin Brooks, who racked up six sacks between them. Brooks is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Starmount's record now sits at 10-2. As for South Stanly, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Starmount will be playing in front of their home fans against Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Stanly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
