Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Brookfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Garfield G-Men. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-3.

Cassie Samios paced Brookfield's offense, picking up three kills. Samios got some help from Rylie Burdge and her nine assists. Elaina Boyce controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lily Shay had a dynamite game For Garfield., getting 29 digs and one assist. Shay is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Brookfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Garfield, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Brookfield will welcome Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Garfield, they will head out on the road to face off against LaBrae at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
