Football Recap: Homer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Homer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays. The Knights lost against the Bluejays in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 47-6 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Homer lost, don't look at Reed Modlin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 32 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one TD.

Homer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Homer is set to square off against their familiar foe Pender at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Guardian Angels Central Catholic will challenge rival Wakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
