Basketball Game Preview: Winter Springs Bears vs. University Titans

The Winter Springs Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the University Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Winter Springs will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Oviedo, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Winter Springs snuck past Oviedo with a 42-37 victory on Tuesday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Lions are ranked 457th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, University came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 45-35 win over the Green Wave.

University's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Winter Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.
