Volleyball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Cedar Reds

Dixie hasn't had much luck against Cedar recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Flyers will head out on the road to take on the Reds at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Dixie came up short against Desert Hills on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Cedar came up short against Crimson Cliffs on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Reds in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-27, 25-16.

Cedar now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

Dixie couldn't quite get it done against Cedar in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Flyers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
