Football Game Preview: Stratford Red Devils vs. New Milford Green Wave + How To Watch

The Stratford Red Devils will challenge the New Milford Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Stratford came up short against East Lyme and fell 17-7. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when New Milford and Brookfield meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Green Wave were beaten by the Bobcats 50-21.

Stratford will have to contain Tj Ruedemann as he made an impact in New Milford's last game. He picked up 185 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ruedemann showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 65 yards.

New Milford's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Stratford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Things could have been worse for Stratford, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to New Milford in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
