Football Recap: Coloma Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Kellogg last Friday, Coloma came back down to earth. The Comets were dealt a 70-27 defeat at the hands of the Lawton Blue Devils on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Coloma still got an impressive performance from Maverick Kraemer, who threw for 282 yards and four TDs.

Wyatt Streeter went supernova For Lawton., rushing for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Streeter a new career-high. Brady Quick was another key player, rushing for 43 yards and a pair of scores.

Coloma now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lawton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Coloma will face off against Galesburg-Augusta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lawton, they will take on Saugatuck at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
