Football Game Preview: Grandview Wolves vs. Arvada West Wildcats + How To Watch

The Grandview Wolves will take on the Arvada West Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Arvada West took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Grandview, who comes in off a win.

Grandview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Chatfield 32-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Chargers are ranked 66th).

Maddox Johnson was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 131 yards and three TDs. Those 131 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Grandview's run defense was locked in: Chatfield could only muster 1.9 yards per carry. While five picked up at least one total tackle, Johnson stood above the rest. He rushed for 131 yards and three scores. Grandview's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.6.

Meanwhile, Arvada West played a tough game two weeks ago in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Ralston Valley, falling 49-20. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Grandview will have to contain Logan Duhachek as he made an impact in Arvada West's last game. He threw for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground.
