Fillmore and Carpinteria are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Fillmore Flashes will welcome the Carpinteria Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Fillmore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Fillmore proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 12) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Carpinteria 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Flashes, who have now won three games in a row.

Johan Reyes was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Avila, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

With the defeat, Carpinteria broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for Fillmore, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
