Basketball Recap: Oxford Beats Dexter for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Oxford won against Flinthills last Tuesday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Oxford Wildcats took down Dexter 60-44. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats who have now won six contests in a row.

Oxford was led to victory by Kellen Green and Cordell Jordan. Green went 6 for 11 on his way to 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Jordan dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. The game was Green's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Whitson, who posted five points and seven assists.

Oxford's record is now 7-1. As for Dexter, they now have a losing record at 0-1-1.

Oxford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-47 win against West Elk on the 20th. As for Dexter, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bluestem on January 28th. Dexter is facing Bluestem at the right time seeing as Bluestem is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
