Softball Recap: Somonauk Bobcats vs. Hiawatha Hawks

While Somonauk put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Hiawatha. Everything went the Somonauk Bobcats' way against the Hiawatha Hawks as the Somonauk Bobcats made off with an 11-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for Somonauk, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Somonauk got a big performance out of Kayla Anderson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Olivia Taylor was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

On Hiawatha's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Rylko, who went 1-for-3 with a stolen base.

The win made it two in a row for Somonauk and bumps their season record up to 5-11. As for Hiawatha, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
